When creating an idea for a T.V. show, Movie, or Novel:
- Inspiration is key because every great project or idea was inspired by something. That something could be anything whether being experience or another body of work.
- Drafting the characters is an important part because that's what makes the story interesting. The audience needs to be able to connect with the characters and have a desire to root for their success, therefore, being interested in your story.
- Developing the plot is what gives the idea structure. The plot is what your story is based on and the theme's underlying message is how determines how everything from a character's motivations to even where your setting is.
